-
My downloaded file is corrupt. What should I
do? Please keep
trying and download it again.
You have access to the download for 24 hours, and I will gladly resend the
link if you need it after that. Since video files are
very big, if your download is interrupted with one bit of 'noise', the
video will error out.
Possibly the site is very busy right now.
Most often, when the user switches to different computer with a
different internet connection it downloads
fine. You are downloading the same files others have that are
fine, so the 'corruptness' happens with an unclean download.
-
My screen has blank boxes instead of the videos
You
will notice a yellow-whitish bar near the top of your screen saying your browser has blocked
active content or something similar. If
you have this, click on it and select
"Allow Blocked Content" or something similar.
-
Am I viewing my my download on the internet?
I thought I bought the download.
You do have the
complete download on your PC. You are NOT
viewing it on the internet. It looks that way because I use your browser
(the program you use to access the internet) to play the videos, but
they are on your pc, as well as the tab. I do have a link or two
to my website in case you want to get to this help page, for example.
If you are not connected to the internet, they will not work, but your
download videos and tab still will.
-
When I install it, I am warned about harmful content.
Is this ok?
Absolutely! Windows now prompts for as
much as it can, to make sure this is a process you have initiated yourself,
and you know where the files came from.
-
Can I make the video bigger?
Some more recent
downloads have a full-screen button. If you don't have this under
the video, and you are using Internet
Explorer 7.0 or higher, look in the lower right hand corner of your browser.
There is a zoom button (magnifying glass and "%") in the lower right hand
corner of your browser. You can increase the size using this.
You can try it now, on this page. A great shortcut is to hold 'Ctrl'
and press "+" repeatedly to increase the size, and Ctrl "-" to decrease it.
It works great with the flash videos and tab, to get the video to just the
right size for your resolution.
-
Does the install affect my computer or it's
configuration?
Absolutely not! There are NO registry changes or anything like that.
There is only a PlayGuitarSolos directory created and some files copied
there, and one icon put on your desktop.
-
Is there an uninstall program?
Yes there is. If you
look on your "Start" menu and find the PlayGuitarSolos program, you will see
an "Uninstall.exe" under it. Or you can simply delete the files
under the PlayGuitarSolos directory and delete the icon from your desktop.
They both accomplish the same thing, as there are no registry changes or
anything like that.
-
How do I copy it to a CD or another computer?
Just
copy the initial file that you download. You can run that anytime
on any number of computers to install the program.
- How come I'm getting the "allow blocked content"
question when I play the video with Internet Explorer, if all the files are
local?
Even though this
program is entirely on your computer, I make use of the web browser
(Internet Explorer program) to display it. As a result, IE is trying to
block content in case it is from a non-trustworthy source. The browser
security does not differentiate between whether this content is on the web
or not. It only knows that to play active content video it needs to warn
you.
Detailed Download Steps
for Windows machines.
1) When you get to the download page, click on the
link. It will bring up another link.
Then click on that link. It will ask you to RUN SAVE or CANCEL. Be SURE to
select SAVE. Pick a location on your PC. The DESKTOP is the
best, but any directory will do.
2) AFTER the download is totally complete, go find the
file you downloaded. It will be called something like Setup.exe (LedZed_Setup.exe for example) Double click this file. You will go through the
install screens. Select 'next' all the way through, taking the default
options. It will probably say a directory doesn't exist, do you want to
create it? Say 'YES'. When you finally get to the last screen, you will have
an Exit button. Click this to close the setup program. You should
now have an icon on your desktop, names after the song (Led Zep Combo for
example). Double-click this to open
your browser and play the videos.
